i was up at 6.30 and by around 8 i was down on the bridge waiting for the waimarie to be winched from the river. even though i was early, there was lots to watch, and some of the guys arrived after a while so had them to chat with.
everything went really smoothly. we were hugely lucky that the scheduled bad weather didnt eventuate yet. it rained a bit, but the wind held off, which was the main thing.
she will be up for at least 3 weeks while work is undertaken to repair any damage, repaint the hull and any other jobs that need doing. hopefully she will be refloated on a suitable day, workwise, and i will get more photos then.
the tomy loop track i bought last weekend finally arrived, too. i still dont know if its genuine or not, but either way its a nice piece and should prove useful at some stage.
