finally finished the layout for the show this morning, including taking detailed photos and marking the parts and quantities on them. hopefully all will go well next weekend. looking forward to it!
the big lot from chch arrived this afternoon. 3 boxes full of goodies!! lots of trains and accessories. i havent gone through everything properly yet, just got stuff out to check over and photograph.
on saturday, kylie invited me to go to the palmerston north lego show with her and keegan. it was a great day out, with different displays to last year. i heard there were no aucklanders registered this time, which is a shame, but it was still a great show.
on the friday night before, mum and i went to palmy to see howls moving castle at the cinema. it was the japanese version with english subs, and was brilliant to see on the big screen. we didnt get home until almost midnight, so tired is an understatement right now. then on sunday afternoon, a diesel excursion came into town. it was stabled at steamrail, and we provided security. i got tjhe 4-8am shift, so was able to see the shunt come in, shoot home for breakfast, catch the excursion as it left and get to work with minutes to spare. won an awesome lot of plarail last night. looks to be a lot of older stations and track, along with some newer items. loads of engines, thomas as well as japanese.
once again, its coming from christchurch. this will be my 4th big bulk from that city. looking forward to it arriving and being able to go through it all and see whats there. got it for not a bad price, either, $121. i beat out an underbidder by a whole $1. sellers photo shows a sampling of the stations and track accessories, the stuff from jauce arrived today. really, really pleased with all of it. the two trucks are perfect to complete my tomix collection, and the apron is perfect, looks brand new.
thankfully it all arrived in good time for the show at the end of the month. |
