only a few issues with derailments, mostly caused by the track coming apart. it worked better than i thought it would in that respect. the design of the layout also pushed home how incompatible some trackmaster engines are with tomy, with several of the ones i selected to run being a millimetre too tall for the girders.
massive thanks to john for the work he did on the structure to hold the perspex in place, which did wonders at keeping most of the little hands out.
first up is the push n go plane that john found at st vinnies for .50c. not in the greatest shape, but still an example i didnt have so it came home with us.
the tomy tutor computer i won on trademe for $9.50 posted [the bid was a whole $1!!] it looks in good shape. now i need to find the standard version for a decent price. lol.
the musical train and playboard i found on facebook and got my aunt in rotorua to collect as the seller didnt have time to post. the train is a style i didnt have and has the batter cover, so hopefully i will be able to sort out the casey jones train one day. sadly, the new one is missing the smoke stack, but the stickers are so faded i would be looking for a better one anyway.
i am not sure about the playboard, but couldnt resist grabbing it as well due to the age.
kyle also collected the big loader for me, and will arrange to send it up at some stage. :) thanks, kyle!
