150 years of railway in new zealand expo
on wednesday 9th of october, i travelled down to palmerston north for the kiwirail 150 years expo. the weather was shocking, and i nearly got blown off the bike a few times. almost turned back as i was actually scared. managed to push through, and the wind dropped by sanson, thankfully.
worth the effort to get there. the expo was very well done and had a good turn out despite the weather. blair was there helping, and i saw colin as well. they had a steam engine from feilding there, a new DL, a ballast tamper and grader, several of the new coaches and info box cars.
from there, i went down to the op shops and didnt find much... just a totoro puzzle from savemart for $1. other than souvenirs at the expo, i didnt spend a cent.
