before we went away, the lot with the piece of viaduct track arrived. its missing one of the pylons, and the seller has posted it in an envelope which is good. really pleased with the stuff in that lot.
on thursday, my lego santas workshop arrived. much as i love lego, i love the club more, so sacrificed valuable build time to go there instead. i got building when i got home, and managed to get the sled and reindeer built before going to bed. we left for tauranga early the next morning, so the rest had to wait.
just before we left, i bought another troublesome tanker from ebay, and that arrived saturday. thats 3 now, and enough for the collection.
while in tauranga, we went to zero to five. not much there, no thomas at all, but i did find 2 other train sets. one was a fenbo with the santa fe... means i can make a triple header! LOL.
the other set was a toltoys push along set with red tracks. i spotted a vintage girl and driver in the bottom of the bag so bought it for them. when i unpacked the rest at home, i found 2 bridge sides. the guage is the same as thomas, so gave the track to my nephew to use with his trackmaster engines.
we went to toyworld, which was the one shop i was determined to get to. i bought seven 24x24cm blue lego base plates for the winter village buildings. the bottoms of those are really unstable and tend to collapse when handled. these will hopefully give them though support to stay together nicely. mum bought me a power functions pack with motor so i can try and modify the carousel from another set.
